Søren's garden - Clematis vs. Iron Wall  Søren  Søren, Jul 24, 2010 10:25 PM. Permalink.

Hi Birthe, thats a very interesting rose - I've been trying to find more information on Frülingsduft but all I could come up with is that it's supposed to be a Kordes rose. Searched the Kordes website but the rose was no where to be found.

Ohh and btw. the strongest aroma we have in our garden right now is from a ... mint! :) And it's attracting the bees very effectively :)

It is a Kordess rose.  Frülingsduft is in my old katalog from Kordes.

Rosa pimpinellifolia has a lot of early roses and then again some later in July.

can be 2 - 3 meters tall

It is a very robust rose - can grow on dry sandy ground but remember fertilising.

remember to cut down, if you do not want "bare legs"
