In the forum editor highlight the word you wish to turn into a link. For instance if the sentence is "This is a link to Google" and you wan't to turn Google into a link then highlight Google by double clicking the word.

In the editor toolbar press the button looking like this:

Enter the URL you wan't to link to in the field named "Link URL". In the Google example that would be "http://www.google.com". You must include the "http://" prefix for links to external websites. No prefix is needed when linking internal webpages on GardenPipl. For instance to link to this how-to the URL would be "/forum/help/how-to-publish-links-in-the-forum" (also known as the permalink of the forum post).
The "Target" and "Title" fields are optional. We recommend writing 2 to 5 words in the title that describe the webpage that is being linked to.
Finally press the "Insert" button.
The popup window closes automatically and the highlighted word is now a link. You cannot test the link before the forum post has been submitted. |
