How to publish an image
There are two ways to publish an image in the forum.
- Upload the image from your PC.
- Insert the image from "My Garden".
Upload image from your PC
In the forum editor place the cursor at the position where you wan't to insert the image. In the editor toolbar press the button looking like this:

Press the "Browse.." button to select a file from you own PC (the button may be named differently in your internet browser). The file you choose must not be greater than 10 Mb in size and should be either JPG, PNG or GIF format.
Although optional we recommend writing a few words about the image in the description field. Typically you would write 2 to 5 words that sum up what the image is showing.
Finally press the "Upload" button.
It may take a minute or more to upload the image, especially if the image file is big or your internet connection has low upload bandwidth. If this is a problem then you may wan't to downscale the image before you upload it. Applications such as Microsoft Paint and Adobe Photoshop can downscale images.
Once the image upload has completed the popup window closes automatically and the image appears in the forum post editor.
Insert image from "My Garden"
You can insert an image from your garden in a forum post and make it link back to the original image in your garden. If you wish to use this feature to bring attention to new images in your garden then a good place to do so is in Blooming Now or New And Noteworthy.
In the forum editor place the cursor at the position where you wan't to insert the image. In the editor toolbar press the button looking like this:

Select an image in the list. For an image to be selectable it must have a title and your garden must be published.
Further you must decide if you wan't to "Insert as teaser that links to my garden". If you select this option then the image thats inserted is reduced in size and accompanied with a text link pointing to the original full size image in your garden. If you don't select this option then the image is inserted full size.
Finally press the "Insert" button.
The popup window closes automatically and the selected image appears in the forum post editor. |
