Garden People show us your garden!
Here is your chance to show off your garden by creating a garden webpage on GardenPipl.
All you have to do is create a free account on GardenPipl and upload some images to your garden webpage.
To get some ideas on what kind of images to upload to your garden webpage you may wan't to browse the gardens of other garden people first. Press the Gardens menu button to browse gardens.

How will my garden get exposure?
Once you have published your own garden webpage your can tell your friends about it by mailing them a link to the garden webpage. At the bottom of your garden webpage you will find a mail feature to help you mail your garden. If your friends are users on GardenPipl and you have already connected with them then they will automatically receive an email notification when you upload new images to your garden.

Your garden will also get exposure when ever you post in the garden forum. For instance the image of a clematis right next to my profile image at the top of this particular forum post is a link to my garden that has been inserted automatically.
You can also insert individuel images from your garden webpage directly in forum posts. For instance this is an image of a clematis from my garden webpage.

In fact you can make the images you insert in forum posts link directly back to your garden webpage. Here is what the image of the clematis looks like when it has been turned into a link to my webpage:

So how do I create a garden webpage?
1. Create a free user account
If you already have a user account you can skip this step.
To create a user account press the the join button.

Press the Join button to create a free user account.
Fill out the form shown below.

Once you press the OK button you will receive an email.

You receive an email with a link used to activate your new user account.
Follow the link in the email to activate your new user account on GardenPipl.
2. Upload images to your garden webpage
Press the button "My Garden" to create your own garden webpage. If the button is not showing on the right side of any page on GardenPipl then you are not logged in.

A dialog asks your to confirm after which you are greeted by the garden editor page.

A garden webpage consists of one garden teaser image and several garden gallery images that you upload to the webpage.
The garden teaser will be shown in icon form at various places on GardenPipl and is required before you can publish your garden.
The gallery images are shown full size when users enter your garden webpage. You deside how many gallery images you wan't to upload - they are optional.
To upload a teaser image press the Edit button in the teaser image section.

Now you see the dialog to upload the teaser image and edit its title and description.
First press the button named Browse to chose a file from you own computer that you wish to upload as teaser image for your garden. Then provide a title and a description. The title of your teaser image will also serve as title for your garden webpage.
Now press the Save button. This causes the image to be uploaded. It may take a while - a minute or more is not unusual. When uploading the image has completed your are sent back to the garden editor.
The procedure for uploading gallery images is the same as the teaser image. Simply press the Edit button in an empty slot for a gallery image. Every time you upload an image to a gallery slot a new empty slot will appear if you wish to upload more images (otherwise just leave it empty).
To change teaser or gallery images press the same Edit button you used to create the image in the first place.
3. Publish you garden
Press the Publish button in the garden editor.

Garden editor shows status "Published Yes".
It should now say "Published Yes".
If you wish to see you garden the way its seen by other garden people press the View Garden button.
You can always change your garden even while its published, simply press the My Garden button again to get back in the garden editor.
