Hi Daisy. I would not dig up the bulbs just yet. The bulbs needs to gather strengh for next year. So I usually cut off all the leaves except one leaf to keep it going untill the leaf witheres. I rarely dig up the bulbs. But I remember my mother now and then dug up the bulbs. Spread them on the lawn to dry. But then dug them in the soil again.
I would not keep them for so long - you might risk loosing several. I would put them in the flowerbed again.
