I am just about to start digging up my spring bulbs to tidy up the garden and make them ready for autumn. Any idea on what is the best place to store them? Would a corner in a cool dark garage be fine?

Hi Daisy. I would not dig up the bulbs just yet.

The bulbs needs to gather strengh for next year. So I usually cut off all the leaves except one leaf to keep it going untill the leaf witheres.

I rarely dig up the bulbs. But I remember my mother now and then dug up the bulbs. Spread them on the lawn to dry. But then dug them in the soil again.
I would not keep them for so long  - you might risk loosing several. I would put them in the flowerbed again.
Good luck
